Jerry Kocan Nominated For Atd's Dealer Of The Year

Four Star Freightliner Dealer Principal Jerry Kocan was recognized as one of only five Dealer of the Year nominees by the American Truck Dealers (ADT). The recognition came during the National Automobile Dealers Association/American Truck Dealers Convention & Expo in Las Vegas, NV on April 1, 2016.

“It is a distinct honor to be nominated and to represent the best dealer network and brand (Freightliner) in North America,” Kocan said. “Being selected to represent the market leader is an honor I will cherish forever.  There is no finer brand of trucks or dealer network.”

The five nominees were selected by state, metro and national association leaders. According to ATD, nominees for the national award are evaluated by a panel of professors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business on dealership performance, industry leadership and civic contributions.

“I am very, very fortunate to have a group of 180 dedicated and hardworking employees at Four Star Freightliner,” he said. “I was proud to represent my employees who have worked very hard to put us in the position for me to be recognized.”  

Kocan said the experience is one that he will treasure.

“I have watched legends in our industry that have impacted my career stand for this same honor. So for me to stand in the shadows of those giants is humbling.”

Tom Bertolino, Vice President of NorCal Kenworth in Sacramento, Calif. was named Dealer of the Year.
